²² He left that place and dug another well. They did not start a dispute over that one, so he called it Rehoboth.^[a] He said, “Now the Lord has made room for us, and we will be fruitful in the land.”

²³ He traveled from there to Beersheba. ²⁴ The Lord appeared to him the same night and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father. Do not be afraid, for I am with you, and I will bless you and multiply your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham.”
